About Chalkidiki


The peninsula of Halkidiki, is located south of Thessaloniki and consists of three smaller peninsulas; Kassandra, Sithonia and Athos. The capital of Halkidiki, Poligiros, can be reached by road, while the nearest airport is the Thessaloniki International Airport - Macedonia.

Kassandra


Kassandra peninsula is the most crowded among the three peninsulas of Halkidiki and each summer attracts thousands of tourists. Crystal waters and sandy beaches in combination with the nightlife, which Halkidiki, offers have made Kassandra peninsula one of the most famous tourist destinations in Greece.

Sithonia


The mountainous landscape and the sandy beaches make Sithonia peninsula special. This is the second peninsula of Halkidiki with remarkable tourist infrastracture. Visitors can choose among campings, hotels and rental rooms as Sithonia meet the needs of even the most demanding traveler.

Athos


Τhe third peninsula of Halkidiki, the peninsula of Athos, includes Mount Athos which forms a monastic state in which resident more than 2.000 monks. The entrance In Mount Athos is not free for everyone but visitors need a special clearance which is called Diamonitirion. Apart from theHoly Mountain in the third peninsula of Halkidiki there are also other interesting places that travelers could also visit.
